Demand for certified construction materials is growing, but environmental information is scattered across certificates, PDF declarations, and foreign databases. As part of the EU-funded LIFE IP CARE4CLIMATE project, we worked with the Ministry of Natural Resources and Spatial Planning and the Slovenian National Building and Civil Engineering Institute (ZAG) to bring this information together in one place. GRAVIA covers products with Type I ecolabels, Type III environmental product declarations (EPDs), and VOC certificates.
Products are organised using a clear alphanumeric classification aligned with the European Organisation for Technical Assessment (EOTA) product groups. Tailored input forms and a validation workflow keep the data accurate and up to date. The platform connects to the ZAG EPD database, supports Excel import and export, and is designed to link with BIM workflows and Slovenia's eGraditve building permit system. It serves both the general public and professionals: manufacturers, retailers, architects, and engineers.
